Abdul Akram – Tutoring Business Owner and Pharmacy Student at University of Central Lancashire
We are highlighting the wonderful achievements of Abdul Akram, a former Kentmere Academy and Matthew Moss High School learner. Abdul is currently studying Pharmacy at the University of Central Lancashire alongside his successful tutoring business.
Abdul’s Journey from Kentmere to Matthew Moss
Abdul began his education at Kentmere Academy, before starting at Matthew Moss High School in 2015. Whilst at Matthew Moss, Abdul was particularly inspired by Mr Moorhouse, headteacher of Matthew Moss during Abdul’s time at school.
He was really encouraging to us all and stressed the importance of having a goal, planning meticulously and striving to achieve it with passion.
Life after Matthew Moss
After leaving Matthew Moss in 2020, Abdul went on to study A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Psychology at Rochdale Sixth Form College. He now studies Pharmacy at the University of Central Lancashire.
Abdul has turned his own passion for education and learning into a successful business venture. After college, he started his tutoring business, AkramEducation, which grew rapidly and has proven to be a huge success.
Abdul has now helped over 200 GCSE students across the country to improve their grades, alongside coaching teachers to start their own tutoring businesses.
