Year 3 and 4 Visit Tatton Park for a day of Viking Exploration

Year 3 and 4 had a fantastic day at Tatton Park on Monday, to experience the Anglo- Saxon – Viking workshop. The children explored the turbulent world of the Anglo Saxons and Vikings in 10th Century AD in this exciting, hands-on workshop.

They arrived at an Anglo-Saxon settlement just before a Viking raid was going to take place. They experienced  the effects on the community. The historical characters helped the children examine what life was like for these two groups of people; considering home life, religion, work, battle, trade, food, language and geography.
