Sunshine Day
Today was Sunshine day, and we have been learning about social justice with the focus on the Suffragette movement in the early 1900’s. We looked into the role the Suffragettes played in getting women’s rights to vote. We also created posters on information gathered about a key individual within the Suffragette movement, Emmeline Pankhurst. We also learnt and performed “Sister Suffragette”, a song which rallied women across Britain to join the movement.
