Uniform

Uniform

Uniform at Kentmere Academy plays an important role in our community identity. We encourage our pupils to be proud of their school’s accomplishments and take pride in their appearance as they represent Kentmere within the local area and beyond. All clothing and equipment must be clearly labelled with your child’s name, coats should have a strong loop for hanging. P.E. kit must be brought in a named bag with a loop to hang on a peg. Swimming kit is needed in a separate bag.

Long hair should be fully tied up with black, grey or maroon plain hair bobbles or hair band. We do not allow hair beads. We do not allow make-up which includes nail varnish. Children are expected to wear black school shoes and not boots or trainers. Please ensure that all items are clearly marked with your child’s name. No jewellery must be worn in school, except for wristwatches.

The Academy will consider requested exceptions from the Uniform Policy in relation to religious articles on a case by case basis.
