Beautiful Butterflies
This term in Reception we have been caring for some caterpillars. We have been observing them every day! Today we were very excited as we noticed something amazing had happened! The caterpillars had gone inside their cocoons and are now getting ready to turn into butterflies. We carefully transferred the cocoons into our butterfly net so they can be welcomed to their new home once they are ready. We are very excited to continue observing the cocoons for any changes. We look forward to releasing the butterflies into the wild once they are ready! We predicted what the butterflies might look like and the children modelled their own out of clay.
