Art Formal Elements
Out topic in Art this term is formal elements. The children have developed a range of skills which include drawing simple geometric shapes found in everyday objects and sculpting. This week, Class 8 have learnt to refine their sculpting artistry to control and use materials for creative experimentation. Using modelling wire the children have practiced applying a range of techniques such as the loop, bend, and twist to create a Viking long boat. Although the process looked simple, the children found the manipulation of the wire testing and had to apply lots of grit, resilience and determination to get their end result, which look amazing!
