Please note. Kentmere Primary converted to Kentmere Academy in February 2015. Since then, the school has dramatically changed its image and improved its standards to become one of the leading primary schools in Rochdale. Our most recent exam results justify this statement. As an academy, Kentmere Academy is legally a different school to Kentmere Primary and therefore past Ofsted inspections do not count, the school is yet to receive its first official Ofsted inspection and instead has been raising standards through school improvement consultations and third party inspections.
If you would like to learn more about how Kentmere Academy and how it has raised its standards then we encourage you to contact us to come see the school and arrange a meeting with our Headteacher to learn more about how Kentmere Academy can benefit your child.
You can find the Kentmere Academy Ofsted report and parent link opportunity below. Please note, Kentmere Academy has not yet had an ofsted inspection.Parent
The Early Years refers to Kentmere Academy’s Nursery and Reception programmes. All the children in both Nursery and Reception will follow our Early Years program in order to develop their learning through carefully planned areas of development.
Year 1/2 classes are a combination of students from Year 1 and Year 2. The classes have been mixed in order to both support students and encourage those students who are advancing quickly.
Students in Year 3/4 work hard on improving their skills and knowledge of challenging academic tasks within Maths, English, and topic based subjects, students flourish in our well designed environments, developed for adventurous learning.
Year 5/6 is the most senior year in the school. Students work hard on improving their key skills in preparation for their SATs exams. As senior students within Kentmere Academy, Year 5/6 are expected to lead by example both in academics and behaviour.
We are proud of our school’s achievements so far and we look forward to the next exciting phase of Kentmere’s development.
