Welcome to Kentmere Academy

Kentmere Academy and Nursery is a pre-school nursery and primary school in Rochdale. We are an Ofsted Outstanding school with above national average performance. We are delighted to share the success of our recent collaboration with 'Literacy Kicks'! Our Year 5 children absolutely loved their lessons, which brilliantly combined their literacy skills with the exciting world of sports. A particular highlight was the opportunity for them to step into the shoes of a sports journalist; a fantastic experience that they thoroughly enjoyed.
We also extend a huge thank you to Gareth from Literacy Kicks for his incredibly generous donation of a wonderful selection of sports-themed books to our school. This thoughtful gift is already a massive hit, and the children are eagerly reading the new additions to our library.
We are very much looking forward to welcoming 'Literacy Kicks' back next year!
